Conference Theme and Vision
The theme of APRC 2026, "Transforming Lung Health and Creating a Future Free of Tuberculosis through Research, Innovation, and Networking," embodies our commitment to fostering global cooperation, sharing cutting-edge research, and driving meaningful action to combat tuberculosis and lung diseases. This conference featured world-renowned speakers and leading experts who delivered plenary lectures and discussions covering:-
- Tuberculosis research and treatment innovations
- Emerging respiratory infectious diseases
- Universal health coverage and access to care
- Environmental and societal impacts on lung health
- Breakthroughs in non-communicable respiratory diseases, including asthma, COPD, lung cancer, and interstitial lung disease
The Malaysian Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis (MAPTB) sent a delegation of 25 registered participants to attend the regional conference. Medical experts from Malaysia also actively participated in the poster presentations. During the Closing Ceremony, Malaysia was officially awarded the hosting rights for the Asia Pacific Regional Conference (APRC) 2028, which will be held in Kuching, Sarawak.
